For us, this journey isn’t just about seeing the world.
It’s about changing the way we live in it.
We want to slow down. To follow roads simply because we wonder where they go. To meet people we never would have met otherwise.
To stay a little longer when somewhere feels special – and to leave room for the unexpected.
Somewhere along the way, we realized the destinations are only part of the story.The people, the connections, the unexpected moments, and everything that happens between Point A and Point B – that’s where this journey really lives.
The Road Is the Point.
We don’t move fast, and we’re not trying to check countries off a list. We stop when something pulls us in. We stay longer when a place surprises us. We eat where the locals eat, sleep beneath the stars whenever we can, and strike up conversations with people we may never have met in our old.
YOLA isn’t just transportation – she’s home.
Our little base camp, our kitchen, our bedroom – and sometimes our problem child. She’s the vehicle carrying us around the world, but more importantly, she gives us the freedom to experience it slowly, one road and one story at a time.
Life is Not a Checklist
The world isn’t a backdrop for photographs. Adventure isn’t something we’re saving for someday. It’s a way of moving through life – with our eyes open, our plans flexible, and our hearts ready for whatever comes next.
We don’t know exactly where every road will lead. We don’t know everyone we’ll meet or every place that will change us. That’s the beauty of it.
We retired from one life to begin another – not to escape life, but to live more of it.
