One of the things we love about campground life is that you never know who your neighbors will be.

While camping at the beautiful Homer Spit in Alaska, overlooking the water, we met Seth and his daughter Aila from Kona, Hawaii.

They were exploring Alaska together on a special father-daughter adventure.

We loved the contrast. They had traded the warm tropical shores of Hawaii for the considerably cooler landscapes of Alaska. That’s commitment to adventure.

There was something wonderful about seeing a father and daughter taking the time to travel together, experience new places and create memories they’ll be able to share for years to come.
