Long-term travel is filled with movement. So every once in a while, it feels wonderful to arrive somewhere you already know you can simply exhale.

For us, that place is the beautiful modern home of our friends Felicia and John in Reno, Nevada.

Whenever we stay with them, we’re greeted with warmth, hospitality and the kind of comfortable familiarity that makes you feel at home almost immediately.

We caught up on each other’s lives over delicious meals, shared stories and plenty of laughter. One evening we ventured out for Detroit-style pizza — and WOW, it was incredibly delicious.

Apparently, rest and recovery on the YOLA journey can occasionally involve a substantial amount of cheese and crispy-edged pizza. We’re perfectly comfortable with that.
